Clear Heart Counselling

Clear Heart Counselling
“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” – Carl Jung Forest path - Falkland Estate 2023.

Hello, I’m Paula,

Welcome to my website.

Please explore the website and get in touch if you have any questions.

I am a Person-Centered practitioner based in Fife, Scotland, my approach to counselling is relational, collaborative, and conversational. I am an open and friendly person, with a good sense of humour. I am the same person with my friends, family, and clients. Authenticity matters—I am a mental health professional, not an expert. You are the true expert when it comes to yourself.

I offer a supportive, compassionate, and empathic space in person - at the therapy room close to Pillars of Hurcules, Falkland. Or Online. If you would like to work outdoors please vist my webpage here. I meet clients locally at a location of your choice. I can also meet clients in Edinburgh and Tayside.

With me you can talk freely about what is happening in your life, to help you find the best way forward in your current situation. Have a look around my website and please get in touch in if you have any questions. Thank you!

Sometimes, we need more than a heart-to-heart with a friend. No matter how strong you have been in the past, working through life’s most challenging issues like grief, loss or a change in circumstances. Can leave you feeling stuck, as if you are wading through a sea of treacle! Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issues, therapy can help. It is an opportunity to learn more about yourself, and get support in living a life that aligns more closely with what is important to you.

My goal, is to support and facilitate, and gently encourage you to believe that wherever you are just now is okay. Sadness, grief, and the need for support do not mean that we are deficient in any way. Coming to therapy does not indicate a lack of strength or resilience. I believe that just the opposite is true. Seeking help and asking for support are signs of strength, not weakness. Above all else, I want my client's to feel safe and supported. I believe in the therapeutic value of writing (journal writing, poetry, etc.) as a source of healing, and being outdoors in the natural environment. I often talk about this with my clients. See resources page :)

I am currently training in hypnotherapy, once qualified, I can offer hypnotherapy as part of a therapy session, or as a separate service. When I am not working, I enjoy walking, spending time with family, and exploring new places. My favourite place for self-care and reflection is in the heart of a forest or on a deserted beach.
